Campus placement and orientation by Abad group of Hotels
The Cochin-based Abad group of Hotels conducted campus placement for Hotel Management students (2016 Adm) for the posts of Corporate HR Manager and Food and Beverages Training Manager in July. They also conducted an orientation session for the first semester students. (2019 Adm).
Food Fest by Hotel Management Department
As part of World Food Day celebrated every year on 16th October, the third year students of the Department of Hotel Management conducted a food fest on 17th October. The fest was inaugurated by Ms. Babymol, Principal, SN Public School-Chathannoor. The students served delicious dishes like kappa, pathiri, upma, non-veg delicacies etc..
KSRTC bus stand cleaning initiative by NSS
The NSS volunteers, as part of Gandhi Jayanthi programme conducted a cleaning initiative in KSRTC bus stand, Chathanoor and its surroundings under the guidance of Ms. Maya Babu, NSS co-ordinator. They cleaned the often ignored well in the depot.
Seminar ‘A Bird’s Eye View on GST’ by the Dept. of Commerce

Food Donation Programme
On 5th Sept., the third semester students of Commerce (Adm 2018) conducted a food donation programme named ‘Snehavirunnu’for the residents of Karunalayam, Chathannoor, a centre to help orphans and vulnerable children. Payasam Fest 2019
Dept. of Hotel Management conducted Payasam Fest on 3rd Sept. 2019 experimenting with the traditional tastes of Kerala. The profit of the fest was contributed by the students to Anandatheeram, a boarding home for differently abled children and adults, Chathanoor.
Ice-cream fest “Scoops and Smiles”
Dept. of Hotel Management conducted an ice-cream fest named “Scoops and Smiles” and delighted the taste buds of all present with mouth-watering flavours of ice-creams on 21st August 2019. Principal Dr. Manu Kamaljith inaugurated the event.

Dept. of English organized a one day journalism workshop on “News Reporting and Editing” for English main students on 5th August 2019 under the initiative of Prof. Sunil Kumar, HOD, Dept. of English. Shri R. Sankar’s death anniversary
Shri R. Sankar’s death anniversary was observed on November 7 in our college. In the meeting conducted, the faculty and students highlighted on the importance of education as a means of empowering the society in Sankar’s vision of Kerala’s development. Trees were planted to commemorate the dear memory of this visionary leader.
